Calif. governor signs driverless cars bill

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.—California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation that will pave the way for driverless cars in the state.

The governor signed the bill Tuesday afternoon at Google Inc.'s headquarters in Mountain View. Google has been developing autonomous car technology and lobbying for the regulations.
